Inside the app

You can watch your food grow.

Most food arrives with no story. Reserve with KisaanFirst and you see the farm, the sowing, the weather, the harvest and the lab result — before it reaches your door.

What we verify before a farm is listed
• The 7/12 land record
• The plot's location and size
• A bank account in the farmer's own name

A named partner, not a supplier

Every farm carries the farmer's name, village and plot — and what we check before it's ever listed.

Every hard question, answered

When you pay, what happens if a crop fails, how we know a farmer is real.

What we hold ourselves to

Three numbers we don't move.

48 hours

From harvest to your door. Dairy comes daily, every morning.

1.5–2×

What the farmer earns against the mandi rate, locked before they sow.

100 km

The furthest a farm can be from Pune and still be on KisaanFirst.

How it works

You reserve. The farmer plants. We watch it the whole way.

We farm in blocks — a farmer commits a plot once enough of it is spoken for. That's why there's a wait, and why the price holds.

1

Reserve your run

Pick a crop and how much you want each delivery. Your reservation joins other families' until the block is full.

2

The block fills

When enough is reserved we sign with the farmer and lock their rate. They plant knowing the price and the buyer.

3

It grows — and you watch

Sowing photos, agronomist visit logs, and honest notes when the weather turns.

4

Harvested to order

Picked when it's ready and graded in the field. The farmer is paid at harvest, against grade.

5

Checked, then packed

Cross-docked to Pune, sorted and packed, cold chain where it's needed, and residue-tested by batch.

6

At your door

Within 48 hours of harvest. Saturday or Sunday, and you can move any week to Wednesday.

Why trust us

Real farms. Checked before they're listed.

Anyone can put a photo of a farmer on a website. Before a farm appears on KisaanFirst, we check that it exists, that it's theirs, and that the money reaches them and not somebody in between.

  • The 7/12 land record — the plot is registered to the farmer we name.
  • Location and size — confirmed against the plot on the ground.
  • A bank account in the farmer's own name — we pay them directly.
  • A field visit — by our agronomy team, before anything is listed.

On quality, plainly

We don't claim organic certification, because we don't have it. What we do instead:

  • Crops grown to an approved input list, with a spray diary.
  • Pre-harvest intervals respected before anything is cut.
  • Batches lab-tested for pesticide residues — the result is in your app.
  • Led by our farmer-relations and agronomy team, doctoral-level agricultural scientists.
Join the beta

Try it before we launch.

KisaanFirst is in private beta with families across Pune. It's free, nothing is charged, and your feedback shapes what we build.

Install on iPhone

You'll need Apple's TestFlight app first — that's normal for apps that haven't launched yet.

  1. Install TestFlight (free, from the App Store)
  2. Tap the Get KisaanFirst button below
  3. Tap Accept, then Install
1 · Install TestFlight 2 · Get KisaanFirst

Takes about two minutes. Nothing is charged at any point.

Get on the Android list

Android testing is invite-only while we're in beta. Give us the Gmail address on your phone and we'll add you to the tester list and send your install link.

It must be a Google account — the one you're signed into on your Android phone. Google Play can only grant beta access to a Google account, so any other address won't work.

We add testers by hand, usually within a day. We'll only email you about the beta.

Questions

The things people ask first.

Is this app live? Am I being charged?

No. The app is a preview of how KisaanFirst will work. Nothing is charged anywhere in it, and the farms and people shown are examples while we onboard real farms.

When do I pay?

At launch, you'll pay upfront for the run you reserve. That commitment is what lets your farmer plant with certainty, and it locks your price at sowing. Nothing is charged in the beta.

What does “268 of 400 kg reserved” mean?

We farm in blocks. A farmer commits a plot once enough of it is spoken for — so your reservation joins other families' until the block is full and we can sign the contract.

What if the block doesn't fill in time?

We'll tell you before the closing date, and you choose: move to the next sowing, switch to another crop, or take a full refund.

How do I know these are real farmers and not agents?

Before a farm is listed we check the 7/12 land record, confirm the plot's location and size, and pay only into the farmer's own bank account — never an intermediary.

If farmers are paid in advance, what keeps quality high?

Farmers aren't paid in advance. What's locked at sowing is their rate — so they plant knowing the price and the buyer. Payment comes at harvest, against grade, and next season's contract depends on their scorecard.

Is the produce organic?

We don't claim organic certification. We're residue-tested: crops are grown to an approved input list, pre-harvest intervals are respected, and batches are lab-tested for pesticide residues.

Is 48 hours really fresh?

For fruit, hardy vegetables and pulses, harvested-to-order and delivered within 48 hours beats anything that's been warehoused. Milk is different — that's why dairy is delivered daily.

What if the crop fails?

You choose: a full refund, or credit plus a bonus. If the harvest is partial you get your pro-rata share plus a refund on the shortfall. We also spread each crop across several farms so one failure doesn't end your run.

Where do you deliver?

Pune, from farms within 100 km. Saturday or Sunday, and you can move any week to Wednesday. Dairy comes every morning.
